About Compositing

Compositing here is the boring, useful kind: put two pictures next to each other, stamp text on a photo you're about to send out, pack animation frames into a sheet, or cut a sheet back into frames. There's no layer blend-mode playground and no “remove the background with AI.”

Watermarks on this site are text. They discourage casual reuse; they don't prove ownership in court and they won't survive a determined crop. If the file must not leak, don't send the file.

Sprite tools are for game and UI work. Generator packs frames you drop. Slicer cuts a grid back into a zip of frames. If the grid is irregular, a desktop editor is still the honest tool.

Merge images

Merge images lays files into one side-by-side (or stacked) strip. Comparison shots, before/after without the slider, a contact sheet of sorts. It isn't a panorama stitcher and it won't align horizons.

Watermark

Watermark draws text over the image with opacity, size, and position. Copyright lines, “PROOF,” a site name. For the same stamp on many files, use batch watermark instead of this page.

Sprite sheet generator

Sprite sheet generator packs frames into a grid. You drop the frames; you get one sheet. Useful for CSS animation and simple games. Frame size should be consistent or the grid will look like a mistake.

Sprite sheet slicer

Sprite sheet slicer does the reverse: given a sheet and a cell size, it writes a zip of frames. Off-by-one padding and uneven gutters will produce junk frames, check the first cell before you unzip fifty.

Common questions

Is a text watermark enough to stop someone reusing my photo?

No. It raises the effort for a casual copy-paste. Anyone can crop or clone it out. If the picture must not circulate, don't hand out a useful resolution in the first place.

How is merging different from a sprite sheet?

Merge is for looking at two or more pictures together. A sprite sheet is a regular grid meant to be played as frames. If you need a filmstrip of a walk cycle, use the sprite generator. If you need “these two product shots on one image,” merge.

Can I watermark without the photos leaving my machine?

Yes. That's the point of this category. Batch watermark exists when you have a folder. Same text, many files, zip download, still no upload.

Why these tools don't upload your files

There is no server to upload to. Each page is a static file, and the work happens in your browser. Your file is read from disk into memory, processed, and handed back as a download. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network and it keeps working. The longer explanation
