Meme generators are a particularly grim corner of the web. Most of them stamp their own URL across the bottom of your output, several want an account, and all of them take a copy of the picture you fed in. For a reaction image that hardly matters. For a photo of a colleague, a friend's kid or your own living room, it is a strange thing to accept.
The layout here is the traditional one. Both lines are uppercased for you, set in Impact with a sans-serif fallback, filled in the colour you pick and stroked in black at four pixels so they read over any background. Text is centred horizontally. The top line's baseline sits one font size plus ten pixels below the top edge; the bottom line sits twenty pixels above the bottom.
Impact is the weak point. It ships with Windows and macOS but not with most Linux distributions or Android, so on those devices the browser substitutes another sans-serif and the result looks close but not right. Nothing on this page can install a font for you. If the exact look matters, make the meme on a machine that has Impact.
How to use Meme generator

Common questions
How do I make a meme without a watermark?
Use a generator that renders on your own device rather than on a server, which is what this page does — it draws your two lines onto the image and adds nothing else. No logo, no URL, no corner badge. The downloaded PNG contains your picture and your text, and that is all.
Why doesn't my meme text look like Impact?
Impact is almost certainly not installed on your device. It comes with Windows and macOS, but Linux and Android generally ship without it, so the browser falls back to another bold sans-serif. The captions still read correctly; they come out wider and less condensed than the classic look.
Can I change the colour of meme text?
Yes, with the colour swatch, though it defaults to white for a reason. White with a black outline is the combination that survives being placed over an unpredictable photo, which is why the format settled on it. Anything lighter or busier tends to disappear into the image behind it.
Can I keep my text in lower case?
No, both lines are converted to capitals when they are drawn. If you want mixed case, the add-text tool leaves your typing alone, though it puts a single line in a fixed spot near the top left rather than centring one at each end.

Why this one doesn't upload your file
There is no server to upload to. This page is a static file, and the work happens in your browser using the same graphics and WebAssembly code that renders every other site you visit.
