About Word cloud generator
Generate a word cloud from pasted text or a word, count list with spiral layout and PNG export — offline.
Word clouds are usually a SaaS upload. Here you paste text (or a frequency list), optionally strip English stop words, take the top N terms, and place them with an Archimedean spiral that measures each word at its real font size before collision tests.
Linear or log scaling handles outlier-heavy corpora. Pick a palette or random-per-word colors, choose a bundled/system font family, and download PNG via canvas toBlob.
Fake data and lorem are different jobs — structured records and prose filler, not frequency art.
How to use Word cloud generator
- 1Paste free text or a word,count list.
- 2Tune top N, stop words, scale, palette, and font.
- 3Download the PNG.
What it won't do
- English stop list only when filtering is on.
- Very dense clouds may drop low-frequency words that do not fit.
Common questions
Will words overlap?
Placement measures text with the canvas at the final font size and collision-tests boxes. Words that cannot fit are skipped rather than overlapped.
Can I disable stop-word filtering?
Yes — turn the toggle off for technical or non-English corpora.
Is the layout algorithm from d3-cloud?
It is a from-scratch spiral/collision approach in the spirit of Jason Davies’ d3-cloud (MIT), without a d3 dependency.

Why this one doesn't upload your file
There is no server to upload to. This page is a static file, and the work happens in your browser using the same graphics and WebAssembly code that renders every other site you visit. Your file is read from disk into memory, processed, and handed back as a download. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network entirely and it keeps working. The longer explanation
