About Indian govt salary calculator
Estimate central government in-hand pay from the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with editable DA, HRA, TA, and NPS/GPF — offline, not an official payslip.
Central government pay under the Seventh Pay Commission starts from a Pay Level and Cell in the official Pay Matrix, then layers Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, and DA on TA. Most web calculators hardcode yesterday's DA and hide the knobs. This page defaults to sourced rates, shows every field, and recalculates live when you override any number.
Pick a Level and Cell to fill Basic Pay from the bundled matrix, or type a basic directly. City class drives HRA% and floors; accommodation toggles cover allotted quarters and the 50% HRA case when housing is available but not taken. Joining before or after 1 January 2004 switches GPF versus NPS/UPS at 10% of Basic+DA by default. Add your own allowance or deduction rows for CEA, hardship pay, or anything else your office uses.
When DA crosses a new multiple of 50%, the page suggests applying the usual 25% step-up to CEA/Hostel-style rows — it never silently rewrites your figures. Income tax is deliberately left out: regime choice and exemptions are too personal for an honest default, so net is before TDS with a link to the Income Tax Department calculator. Download a PDF summary built in the tab. Actual pay still comes from your DDO/PAO under official orders — this is planning math only.
How to use Indian govt salary calculator

- 2Confirm DA%, city class, HRA, TA, accommodation, and NPS/GPF fields against your latest orders.
- 3Add any extra allowances or deductions, read Gross and Net before tax, optionally download the PDF summary.
What it won't do

- Income tax not included; state professional tax is a free field.
- 8th CPC figures, if shown, are unofficial projections only.
Common questions
Is this Indian govt salary calculator an official DoE tool?
No. It is an estimation page that runs in your browser. Pay is determined by your Drawing and Disbursing Officer / Pay and Accounts Office using official Office Memoranda. Use the calculator to plan; verify rates on doe.gov.in.
Where does the 7th CPC Pay Matrix data come from?
Entry pays and Level structure match the Gazette / Department of Expenditure Seventh CPC Pay Matrix (from 1 January 2016), including Level 13A. Later cells follow the notified 3% increment rounded to the nearest ₹100. The page shows a last-verified date — re-check if the Government revises the matrix.
Why can I edit every DA and HRA percentage?
Because those rates change with DoE Office Memoranda (typically twice a year). A hardcoded 'current' DA goes stale. The defaults are labelled with a verification date; override them whenever your OM differs.
Does the calculator include income tax (TDS)?
No. Net is before income tax. Old versus new regime, exemptions, and other income make a half-built tax engine misleading. Use the Income Tax Department calculator for TDS after you know Gross.

Why this one doesn't upload your file
There is no server to upload to. This page is a static file, and the work happens in your browser using the same graphics and WebAssembly code that renders every other site you visit. Your file is read from disk into memory, processed, and handed back as a download. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network entirely and it keeps working. The longer explanation
